April 23 Shakespeare Celebration

On April 23, 2016 the world marks the playwright’s actual birth and death days—an irony only a poet could arrange. Chicago is the stage for the world’s largest yearlong Shakespeare celebration honoring the playwright’s legacy. Our city’s world-class institutions and leading artists across disciplines from around the globe are interpreting and reimaging Shakespeare’s work all year long, but here are a few ways you can celebrate on the day itself.
