The Merry Wives of Windsor : The Cuisine
In Shakespeare’s boisterous The Merry Wives of Windsor, Falstaff (a loveable rogue known for his great appetites) cries out “Let the sky rain potatoes” (Act V, Scene v) in a fit of desire. Chef Jimmy Ferguson of Jimmy Jamm’s Sweet Potato Café will embrace this quote to offer a variety of sweet and savory dishes centered on the humble sweet potato.

Chef Jimmy Ferguson never intended to become the queen of sweet potatoes. On one fateful Thanksgiving, her father passed down his secret sweet potato pie recipe (which was to be memorized, not written down) and the rest is history. Jimmy opened Jimmy Jamm’s Sweet Potato Café with her husband Harold Ferguson and nephew Adam Jackson, and family has always remained at the center of the business.
