King Lear Screenings

In 1970-71, two great directors were both making films of Shakespeare's King Lear: Peter Brook in England, and Grigori Kozintsev in Russia. They were in touch with each other, and both made masterpieces that have much in common and much that sets them apart. This event will allow those with enough stamina to see both of these films in one day and participate in a discussion following each film.
